Heading South: Why I Transferred to Georgia Tech
After two great years at Penn State, I'm moving to Atlanta. Here's the reasoning, what I'm taking with me, and what's next.

This fall I'm starting at Georgia Tech as a junior in Computer Science, with threads in Cybersecurity & Privacy and Information Internetworks. After two years at Penn State's Schreyer Honors College, this was not an easy call - but it was the right one.
Why move
My work has been converging on one intersection: AI, security, and systems. GT's thread system lets me go deep on exactly that - Cybersecurity & Privacy plus Information Internetworks is basically a curriculum-shaped version of what I already do nights and weekends. Atlanta's tech scene (and yes, the co-op/internship pipeline) doesn't hurt either.
What Penn State gave me
I don't leave lightly. At PSU I got to:
- Publish my first research - I'm the sole author of Task GOAT in SOC-bench, a benchmark for evaluating multi-agent AI on blue-team security operations, built in Dr. Peng Liu's lab. The follow-up work on LLM-agent log synthesis is ongoing and has been the most fun I've had as an engineer.
- Build a community - founding GDG on Campus @ Penn State and watching it grow to 180+ members in a semester taught me more about leadership than any class.
- Teach - being a Learning Assistant for Data Structures & Algorithms and intro programming made me a sharply better engineer. Nothing exposes fuzzy understanding like a student's question.
What's next
Research continues - I'm joining a security lab at GT this fall (more on that when it's official). I'm also recruiting for Summer 2027 software engineering and security engineering internships, so if you're hiring interns who like agents, benchmarks, and packet captures: my resume is one click away.
